Join Illinois Green Alliance on May 22 to celebrate schools across Illinois that are finding creative and impactful ways to prioritize sustainability across their school cultures, educational programming, and physical space. This event celebrates schools at every level on their journey to sustainability and we are excited for the chance to showcase a wide range of projects.

During the first half of our event, we'll share highlights and hear presentations from the Illinois Green Schools Project participants that have been hard at work identifying, planning, and implementing sustainability projects that span issues like cafeteria food waste, student climate education, energy reduction efforts, and more. Check out some of last year's projects to get excited!

After that, we'll hear from three schools and districts that have made significant advancements towards sustainability in the state of Illinois and recognize them for being selected as 2024 Illinois Green Ribbon State Nominees.
