Melanie is a commercial real estate attorney with 10+ years of experience in leasing, acquisitions, and development across multiple asset classes.

While in law school, She served as the manager of project services and marketing for Serena Sturm Architects (SSA), a mission-driven and sustainably focused firm. During that time, Melanie had the pleasure of volunteering at the USGBC Greenbuild conference in Boston, drafting successful grant applications through IL DCEO, and, most notably, acting as project administrator for SSA when they successfully resubmitted the Ryerson Woods Welcome Center (Riverwoods, IL) for LEED Platinum certification.

Melanie is an alum of ULI/Project REAP and the Open Access Fellowship, both of which emphasize diversity and access in the built environment. She also previously served on the board of YouthBuild Lake County, providing legal and strategic guidance to a nonprofit empowering underserved young adults.
