School Recruitment Volunteer
What is a 'School Recruitment Volunteer'?
A Green School Recruitment Volunteer will help to spread the word of the Illinois Green School Project by connecting with their local school, district, or school board and introducing the program and the benefits it provides to their students and community.
How does it work?
Illinois Green Alliance staff will host a single virtual orientation to present all the information a volunteer will need to pass along to their local school or district. After the orientation, a Google folder with all items needed will be given to volunteers to help promote and spread the word about the program.
Schools have until September 26th, 2025, to sign up for the 2025/2026 year. Afterwards, a survey will be sent out to volunteers to hear about their outreach experience to uncover any lessons learned, tips and tricks, in preparation for the following year. At that time, the volunteer role has concluded.
