Sachin Anand
Sachin Anand is the founder and managing principal of dbHMS, a Chicago-based engineering design firm recognized for innovation and sustainable solutions. With expertise in high-performance building systems, including geothermal, renewable energy, and battery storage, he is widely regarded as a leader in sustainable design.
Sachin has spearheaded landmark projects such as Illinois’ first LEED Platinum high school and the state’s first Living Building Challenge school, advancing the field of green architecture and engineering. For more than 20 years, he also served as an adjunct faculty member at the Illinois Institute of Technology’s College of Architecture, mentoring the next generation of designers.
His work has earned broad recognition, including Consulting-Specifying Engineer’s “40 Under 40” honor and the Illinois Green Alliance’s Emerald Award for individual leadership in sustainability.
