Energy Modeling Workshop: Benchmarking and BEPS Compliance Planning using RETScreen

Are you passionate about driving sustainability and energy innovation in your projects? Are you responsible for meeting energy management and reporting requirements for a building or portfolio? Are you working on a new construction or major renovation project that has specific performance requirements, like net zero, a target energy usage intensity (EUI), or annual operating cost limits?

The Chicago Chapter IBPSA-USA (CHIBPSA) , in collaboration with the Illinois Building Energy Hub and the DC Building Innovation Hub, with support from Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) and the Illinois Green Alliance, invites you to join us for a training webinar on RETScreen Expert, a widely used, globally-applicable, a clean energy management software developed by NRCAN, Canada's equivalent to the US DOE, to both manage energy use and develop energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.

Attendees will learn how to leverage RETScreen Expert to effectively back up and store properties and portfolio in a central location for visualization and trend analysis, and further identify relevant efficiency improvement and on-site renewable energy projects and study their feasibility, financial, and risk resiliency. This training is tailored for building management, operations, and consulting professionals responsible for assets covered by benchmarking and building energy performance standards (BEPS) regulations and eager to develop relevant energy calculations, financial analysis, feasibility studies, and risk assessment to help these properties achieve compliance and performance goals. Whether you’re a property manager, facility engineer, consultant, emerging professional, or student, this session is designed to elevate your expertise.

Agenda:

  • 12:30 - 1:00: Networking and Pizza
  • 1:00-1:45 PM CDT: Software overview & building-focused training
