Tech Spotlight: Geothermal in Dense Urban Areas

Join Illinois Green for a virtual education program hosted by Darcy Solutions where we explore a breakthrough in groundwater-enabled geothermal technology that delivers orders of magnitude more thermal capacity in a fraction of the footprint of traditional systems. This webinar will introduce the fundamentals of this emerging approach to electrified heating and cooling and examine how it can overcome common site constraints that limit geothermal adoption—particularly in dense urban sites or space-constrained projects. 

 

Speakers will discuss performance benefits, improvements to system longevity, and how these technologies can support high-performance, all-electric building strategies across a range of building types. The program will also provide an overview of the current incentive landscape for geothermal systems, including how available tax credits and financing mechanisms can dramatically improve project feasibility and long-term value.
