Join the Illinois Clean Building Commitment
Illinoisans across the state are being harmed by skyrocketing energy costs and harmful air pollution. We need local leaders across the state to take strong action to protect their communities. Fortunately, there are solutions to bring down energy bills, create jobs, and support climate resilience.
The Illinois Clean Building Commitment is a pathway for policymakers to bring healthy buildings, lower energy costs, and new jobs to their communities. By joining the Commitment, you will be signaling your interest in raising public awareness about local solutions to energy efficiency and encouraging policies that will make your community a leader in building efficiency.
The Illinois Clean Building Commitment is designed to bring direct, tailored, and cost-free support to communities across the state. We will provide:
- One-on-one technical assistance to understand community needs, develop a plan of action, and take action.
- Support on applications for grant opportunities, incentives, rebates and other funding opportunities.
- Education for residents, business owners, city staff and other stakeholders on the value of energy efficiency and the opportunities available to improve performance.
- Access to our expansive and knowledgeable network of building and energy industry leaders.
- Empowerment for leaders to implement proven, impactful policies to future-proof their communities.
Together, through these actions, we can deliver impactful changes for our residents.
